Anais Gallagher says she currently prefers Noelโs solo music to Oasis and ruled out a reunion.
Anais was quizzed about Oasis and her father Noel Gallagherโs music during an interview on the Happy Hour Podcast. They started off by speaking about misconceptions people have about Anais based on the fact she is a Gallagher.
She said:
โIโve not got apartments Iโd like to rent because the landlords think Iโm going to have mad ones every night. My boyfriendโs family were genuinely like to him โDoes she drink a lot? Does she do drugs?โ And he was like โno.โ I donโt drink, which also freaks people out as well. I think itโs because Iโve had parents who are like crazy, so itโs made me a little bit more mellow. Iโve rebelled in the opposite way. I donโt want to be part of that. I think they think Iโm going to be really rowdy, Iโm just not like that. Iโm quite reserved and Iโll sit and judge people from afar, but Iโm not going to be up in peopleโs faces. They think Iโm going to be really feisty and thatโs just not who I am.โ
When asked whether she likes Noelโs solo stuff better or Oasis she responded:
โI think theyโre both different. Oasis will always bring me that that like joy of โoh my god, such great times!โ And like the music is phenomenal. At the moment I prefer his solo stuff. Mainly because itโs really cool, itโs really interesting and plus I hear it all of the time. Also the songs, I can see what my dad puts into them and like it makes him so happy to make the stuff that he is making. Itโs got like a funky 80s vibe at the moment and thatโs like really cool.โ Anais was also asked the big question of whether she thinks Oasis will ever reunite. She responded, โNo. I know thatโs not what people want to hear and I wish I could be more mysterious like โI donโt know, I couldnโt tell you.โ Personally, no I donโt think they will.โ
