Liam Gallagher is currently halfway through his Australian leg of his Why Me? Why Not tour, and so far his performances have been electric as ever.
The singer took to the stage at Melbourne Arena on Wednesday evening, but the 47-year-old’s set was cut short due to curfew regulations.
The former Oasis frontman was belting out the Brit-pop band’s well-loved song, Supersonic, when the sound curfew kicked in at Margaret Court Arena.
Noel Gallagher’s brother Liam had to abruptly end his performance at 11pm, without finishing, leaving fans in uproar.
His raucous performance soon hit a bum note when the venue’s PA system switched off at 11pm, half-way through Oasis’ classic track.
Attendees were plunged into darkness as the gig unexpectedly went silent.
Liam later addressed his blunt stage exit on his Twitter page.
Writing to his 3.1million followers, he fumed: “Well that was a load of w**k getting cut off last song we weren’t that bad I’ve heard worse!”
In a follow-up tweet, he claimed he could have been slapped with a $250,000 fine if he’d played past the 11pm noise curfew.
“250 thousand dollar fine if we played over the curfew last night 250 thousand dollars 250 thousand dollars I mean those tunes are biblical and I’m the f**king biblical brother but c’mon that’s a f**king p**s take.
