Liam Gallagher has raised hopes he could appear alongside his brother Noel at the We Are Manchester concert.
It was announced last week the Arena would re-open after the bombing in May with a special benefit gig on Saturday September 9.
Liam’s brother and former Oasis bandmate Noel is headlining with his band the High Flying Birds.
And after being asked repeatedly by fans on social media, Liam has hinted he could yet also make a surprise appearance.
He is due to play a gig in the Spanish capital Madrid that night but hinted he could try and make a late dash to be there.
He said on Twitter: “I would love to play that gig in MCR on sept 9th but I’m afraid I’m playing in Spain saying that though it’s only a hop skip n a jump LG x”
Liam performed at the We Love Manchester concert at Old Trafford cricket ground in May organised by Ariana Grande.
He had been playing at a festival in Nuremberg, Germany earlier in the day but arrived by private jet in time for a special guest performance.
He later tweeted a foul-mouthed rant at his brother for missing the gig.
