Interviewd by Jo Whiley on BBC Radio2 last night, Noel Gallagher has discussed about Oasis broke up and his brother Liam.
“Leaving Oasis β that was a horrible night. I knew that it was going to be a decision that would follow me around β thereβs still not a day where I donβt read something about us getting back together β so I knew what I was getting myself into. [It was the right thing to do], definitely. What Oasis had in its future was to do bigger tours and generate more money, which is great. I wasnβt planning on going solo, but it was such a mess that I was happier off [doing that].
I wish β this is all in hindsight β that we hadnβt broken up. That we all agreed weβd all do different things, and then one day weβd all get back together β but it all got vicious, and I wish it had been handled differently. But I donβt have too many regrets.”
Obviusly, Noel has not missed an opportunity to say a few words about the relationship with his brother Liam:
“Itβs difficult for people to understand that to be in a working relationship for 20 years with someone youβre so close with is really difficult. And thereβs a whole mess thatβs gone on around it. But Iβve no doubt that, one day, itβll be all OK again.”
