Interviewd by Jo Whiley on BBC Radio2 last night, Noel Gallagher has discussed about Oasis broke up and his brother Liam.
“Leaving Oasis โ that was a horrible night. I knew that it was going to be a decision that would follow me around โ thereโs still not a day where I donโt read something about us getting back together โ so I knew what I was getting myself into. [It was the right thing to do], definitely. What Oasis had in its future was to do bigger tours and generate more money, which is great. I wasnโt planning on going solo, but it was such a mess that I was happier off [doing that].
I wish โ this is all in hindsight โ that we hadnโt broken up. That we all agreed weโd all do different things, and then one day weโd all get back together โ but it all got vicious, and I wish it had been handled differently. But I donโt have too many regrets.”
Obviusly, Noel has not missed an opportunity to say a few words about the relationship with his brother Liam:
“Itโs difficult for people to understand that to be in a working relationship for 20 years with someone youโre so close with is really difficult. And thereโs a whole mess thatโs gone on around it. But Iโve no doubt that, one day, itโll be all OK again.”
