Liam Gallagher could make a surprise appearance at tonight’s One Love Manchester concert, if the Twitter rumour mill is to be believed.
The former Oasis frontman said he would be ‘up for it’ when asked if he would be performing at Ariana Grande’s fundraising concert – but said it clashed with a slot at the Rock im Park festival in Germany.
Fans were sent into a frenzy on Monday when he appeared to bury the hatchet with big brother Noel on the eve of his debut solo gig at the O2 Ritz, sparking speculation over a possible reunion.
It was fuelled further by a tweet from Black Eyed Peas star Taboo Nawasha, who tagged Oasis into a tweet setting out tonight’s line-up – before quickly backtracking.
Now the rumours have been reignited by a tweet from The Sun’s showbiz writer Dan Wootton, who claims he has been told Liam is planning a surprise appearance at Emirates Old Trafford tonight.
“Won’t be a dry eye if he performs Don’t Look Back in Anger,” he wrote.
He said a colleague was told Coldplay frontman Chris Martin had convinced Liam to come and perform at the show, and the pair are planning to duet on Live Forever.
