Liam Gallagher has seemingly fallen out with brother Noel once more, after taking exception to comments that his brother made about singers who don’t perform their own material.
Last December, the ‘As You Were’ singer confirmed that the warring siblings were at peace once more after meeting up for a Christmas get-together.
But it now appears that the truce hasn’t stood the test of time, after Liam responded to comments made by Noel in a recent interview about his “army of songwriters”.
“I’m offended by singer/songwriters who when you scratch the surface don’t do any f***ing songwriting. As far as I’m aware if you scratch the surface of any solo artist in Britain and they’ve all got a team of songwriters behind them apart from me, Paul Weller and Johnny Marr, I’m struggling to think of anybody else. Richard Ashcroft, Our Kid (Liam) all the way to f***ing Ed Sheeran and the little fella from One Direction they’ve all got an army of songwriters behind them”, Noel told the Sodajerker Podcast last month.
Responding to the comments on Twitter, Liam wrote: “Dig me out all day long rkid but Richard Ashcroft pisses all over you and the 2 Ronnie’s every day of the wk as you were LG x.”
He also hit out at Noel’s recent support spots for the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers and U2, describing them as “undignified.”
