Liam Gallagher has declared that he would “rather be naked or set himself on fire” than dress like Ed Sheeran, Craig David, or The Rolling Stones‘ Mick Jagger.
The former Oasis and Beady Eye man turned solo star was speaking to Absolute Radio this morning, when Dave Berry asked him if he would rather wear the clothes of Sheeran or Craig David. Despite recently supporting The Rolling Stones in London, he also called out frontman Mick Jagger’s fashion sense.
“Never… I’d rather be naked,” said Gallagher. “I’d rather set fire to myself, just torch myself. Craig David just wears white doesn’t he? Do you know what I mean? So that’s not a good one is it at a festival. Mick Jagger, f**king come on man, I’m not getting into his gear, skinny little thing isn’t he. Ed Sheeran, no.”
After previously declaring that he “wasn’t arsed” about Sheeran, Gallagher last year admitted that he thought Sheeran to be “talented”.
“He is talented. I don’t know much about him but he is talented,” said Gallagher. “I don’t see myself as a writer, I see myself as a singer first,” Gallagher explained. “I’m still learning, when I wake up in the morning and look in the mirror I just see a rock n roll singer with a dash of punk, and loads of charm. I don’t see myself as an Ed Sheeran or a Bob Dylan.”
He later advised him to “calm down on the two-handed wanking” after spotting his arm injury while at an awards ceremony.
