Speakeasy talked to Noel Gallagher earlier this week. Some of the questions were, obviously, about Oasis reunion.
Here’s what he said…
Do you think people are generally interested in Oasis getting back together or is it just journalists winding you up?
Let me put it like this: All genuine Oasis fans would be against it. People who bought “Wonderwall” who consider themselves to be Oasis fans would think it would be a great night out. Journalists have to ask the question because they might get a sound bite. I’m used to it by now. I don’t care. I don’t care what the Internet says. 99.9999% of the people on the Internet are dumbasses anyway.
That’s a high percentage you just cited.
There’s not 1% of us who are discerning human beings who, you know, … we have a life.
Listening to “Chasing Yesterday,” I don’t know if Oasis could have made an album like that.
People who go on about an Oasis reunion, they’re not artistic people. Artistically, you wouldn’t do it. You’d do it for the money, but I’ve got enough money, thank you very much. I don’t need the headache of being in a band with a singer who is the angriest man in the world.
Why is he so angry?
Because he’s a f—king idiot.
