Noel Gallagher has said that his new album ‘Who Built The Moon?’ stands for “everything the terrorists hate”, and as a result could defeat ISIS and “turn Donald Trump around”.
The Oasis turned solo star was talking to Rolling Stone, when he said that the spirit and themes of his latest High Flying Birds record were totally at odds with those of extremists.
“It’s unashamedly a fuckin’ pop record,” said Gallagher. “It’s about the joy of beautiful women, nights out and nights getting fuckin’ high, and all the things that we live in life. All the things that the fuckin’ terrorists hate.
“I reckon if I went to Syria and played it for Isis, it’d all be fuckin’ over. I reckon it’d even turn Trump around.”
He added: “I don’t watch the news. The news is fucking boring. So if the world is going to end, I don’t want to know about it. I don’t want to watch the run-up to it. If the sky is going to catch fire because some little, fat North Korean idiot flies a rocket into it, let it fucking end. I don’t want to know about it. I’d rather be doing something else.”
