Noel Gallagher admits he sometimes regrets not playing Oasis’ final show, saying, “It would have been a mad gig.”
Oasis split in 2009 after a backstage fight, minutes before headlining Paris’ Rock En Seine festival.
Noel, who quit Oasis after the fight and has been estranged from brother Liam, reflected on the incident.
He believes the argument would have continued on stage, leading to a “crazy Oasis gig, with intense verbal clashes.”
Speaking to the Daily Star (via ContactMusic), Noel shared: “We were drunk, fighting, and I decided to leave.”
Looking back, he wonders if it would have been better to perform and experience the “mad, monumental gig.”
He added: “Sometimes I wish I had the memory of that final show. But it had to end that way.”
